Description
The Teat-Eezi vapour permeable covers are designed for use with the full-length overlay and community pressure sore pads. They can be used in settings such as hospitals and nursing homes when the overlays need to be transferred from one patient to another. The cover can be disinfected in seconds to comply with infection control.
Product benefits
- Easy clean – Minimal time to clean by wiping down and disinfecting in a matter of seconds.
- Latest Standards – Manufactured to the very latest standards with flaps covering the zip and are Crib 5 Fire Tested.
- Flexible – can be used in a variety of settings for patients of varying needs.
Product information
- Dimensions: 1m x 80cm
- Our vapour-permeable covers can be washed to 80 degrees and bleached (no fabric softeners)
- 2-year manufacturing warranty from the date of purchase.
- When using, we recommend periodically taking the overlay out of the cover, laundered, or shaking it, and leaving it to breathe. This allows the many thousands of fibres inside Treat-Eezi to bounce back, allowing air to flow.
Who is it for
The vapour-permeable covers are designed for patients with incontinence problems who use the full-length overlay and community pressure sore pads.
How to look after it
Caring for your Treat-Eezi vapour permeable cover is simple:
- Regularly inspect the overlay for any signs of damage or wear.
- Machine washes on a gentle cycle to 80 degrees using mild detergent (no fabric softeners).
- Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for optimal care and longevity.
Disclaimers
- When Treat-Eezi is used by single patients without incontinence problems or who are secure with incontinence pads, we advise that our VP covers are not required. Due to the layers of the Treat-Eezi fabric moving with the body and the anti-shearing properties Treat-Eezi offers, placing covers and other materials can affect the product and thus take longer to heal, as with all surfaces which shape to the body, both prevention and healing can take longer when bedclothes, cotton sheets, incontinence pads, and other materials are allowed to disrupt the movement of Treat-Eezi. In specific circumstances, infection control does take priority, so the general rule when VP covers are used is to add another 10 days, depending on the grade of ulcer being treated.
- Please note that the community pad cover does not have securing straps (as the full-length does) and is not recommended for profiling beds.
- Due to personal hygiene reasons and to avoid cross-infection being passed from one person to another, we regret we cannot accept returns of this product once it has been opened and used.
